Below is a preview, click to read the full post

As part of the Dwellingup 100, Trievents and PMBC support “Muscular Dystrophy WA” with a program called “Ride for someone who can’t”. This is where some of the riders who have entered in our event ride for someone with Muscular Dystrophy and raise money for this fantastic organization.

I am extremely proud to be part of the team that runs this event and to know that the generous people who “Rode for someone who couldn’t” and event donations raised $85 000 for MDWA. (Yes, 85 Thousand Dollars)

U9's and U13 points for 2011

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

The Under 9's and Under 13 races were awesome this year, well done to everyone who had a go, even just for 1 race.

One thing I probably didn't mention or push enough through the year was the $35 MTBA "Dirt riders" licence. So for those going to race next year, the kids can join up online, on the MTBA web site for 12 months for just $35. That way it costs you nothing for the kids to ride at each PMBC XC race. (or John Carney's races for that matter as well)

Entries still open for D100 and Important Information

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

There appears to be a FALSE rumor going around that entries are full for the D100. This is simply not the case and entries are still open for another week and a half and there are plenty of entry spots still available.

What has changed though is the "Friday Night Dirt Crits" have been cancelled due to a lack of interest (oh well, it was worth a try). For those people who have entered, you will get a refund on your dirt crit entries, just contact the Trievents office.

XC State Championships 1

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Our last XC round at Marrinup was a huge success. Part of this success was due to having access to the old golf course. The reason we had access to the old golf course was thanks to the "Dwellingup Horse and Carriage Club" who have the use of this land from DEC.

Christine Gray from the "Dwellingup Horse and Carriage Club" was extremely supportive and helpful in letting us use this area and was really happy it worked out so well for us.

11 riders ranging from Elite, Sport and Masters rode the Northern Loop of the D100 course today and have all given the re-aligned course a massive thumbs up! Saying that while they liked the previous course "the re-alignment is so much more fun with more single track and better fire trail"

Riders Needed for WA National Round!

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Massive thanks needs to go out to James Lobegeiger for securing the XC National round to be held at the Goat Farm on November 19/20, well done Jimmy.

However for this event to be a success it needs riders! After all, the events we put on are for you guys, the riders anyway. And, there is no need to qualify, everyone is welcome to race.

So we are kindly asking you guys, the 140 of you guys who turn up to every other XC race to turn up and race a National Round in your own back yard please.
