Just how slow are your slugs? I want to get my son out onto a real MTB track (actually, he wants me to take him out there) but he is going to be really slow - especially on the ups. It might be fun to join in with another group of slowies .....
Cheers,
Graeme
I'm thinking of a hardish ride for an hour or so and a chilled ride with yous after. Might have time for a bit of jumping, eh?
9Am start, slow pace . . . . .sounds like a great way to get back on the bike . . . .

Looks like my son has other ideas this week, so Greg I will join you at 7.30.
We are talking about the main Dell car park aren't we? If so, it's on the road between Kalamunda and Mundaring, Crispy Critta.
Cheers,
Graeme
sweet timing, i was hoping someone would be out there riding this sunday.
havnt been on the trails since the 12hour, so im not in the best shape, plus i clipped in last week so i dont think id hitting the corners too hard. a slower place is exactly what i need!
ill be there!!! - I hope, im trying to get out off this family thing........
levin check your email, i defiently need a map!
steve
Yep, main Dell carpark Gra Gra.
Kalgrm, I'm bringing a mate along who is only starting to get back into riding after piling on the kilos after getting married (as one does, by and large) hehe. I'm thinking he'll be very modest, speed-wise. The track I have in mind will only involve one or two major climbs (unlike the usual 10 or 15)... but mostly singletracks. So if your son is a newbie, come along- for all you know he'll kick your arse
haha
In regards to the location of the Dell, well my pooter has shat itself and i'll therefore attempt to describe how to get there:
From the T junction of canning Road and Mead St in Kalamunda, head eastbound on Mead. Go straight through the roundabout and this then becomes Mundaring Wier Rd. Keep going for quite a few windy kilometres until you see a sign that says "The Dell" with an arrow pointing to the entry point and carpark on your left. From memory, I think there are some yellow bicycle signs as well somewhere around there. Just park and look for us!
Greg, yes I'll bring the high speed camera so we can analyse your jump techniques.
It was great to see so many new faces show up- we had about 20 riders all told! It was especially satisfying to see so many big smiles from the bleeding and totally exhausted- you know the bug's got you now!
See you out in the trails soon!
... and oh to the dude who got CRC on his brake rotors, the stuff to get it off is called Isopropyl Alcohol... available at your local Bunnings.
... and don't forget to use the alcohol on the pads too.
Sorry I missed this ride - it would have been good to catch up with you guys. It's been so long since I've been on dirt - work has been relentless since about mid-January.
Sadly Ellie and I aren't going to be able to get out for a while. The rellies are visiting right now (which makes us tourists on the weekend) and after Easter we're off to Canada for a few weeks. go go go.
We'll be back in May and look forward to catching up with you guys then!
