Kalamunda Circuit Opening *NEW DATE*
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
The Camel Farm is a tourist attraction (you could hit the trails on a camel instead of your regular steed if you want). There is parking and a cafe there - and mountain bikers are openly welcome to use their facilities. The Kalamunda Circuit basically runs through the place!
Head down Paulls Valley Rd, which comes off of Mundaring Weir Rd on the left not too far out of Kalumunda.
To celebrate the completion of the Kalamunda Circuit, WAMBA are organising an opening party on Saturday 24th March.
This event will be held in-conjunction with Cycle Instead Bikeweek.
We are still at the planning stage at the moment, but hope to hold all or some of the following:
- Guided rides on the trail
- Skills clinics
- Mechanics clinics
- Trade Expo
- Opening ceremony (with VIPs)
- Sausage sizzle
If you would like to help out at this event, whether it be with the organisation or simply as a ride guide, drop me an email: info@wamba.org.au
More details will be posted here when we get them.
The poster has indicated a limit of 200 is ideal here. Therefore please do not show up unannounced.
Please Login or register then return here to show you will be there.

Doesn't this date clash with the PMBC Points Series to be held at Jarrahdale? I would think a few riders would like to be in that round and attend the opening. Perhaps they can finish the race in the morning and attend the opening later in the day. I'd like to be there, but I will be in Canberra participating in the Mont 24 hour enduro race! I'm sure it will be a great day.
Drat, I forget to check the race calendar - I figured it would be too early in the year for races.
Will have a think and get back to you. This clash is not ideal.
Will the Kalamunda circuit actually be finished and officially signed by then or is this not important?
Im sure its to just coincide with bikeweek and to get new people out on the tracks.
Ok, we're going to go with Saturday 24th March. I know Saturdays are not ideal for everyone, and it is the day before the XC race at Jarrahdale, but we are keen to tie this event in with bikeweek, as our friend Agusta says (that guy seems to know a lot).
Planning is now in full swing. Watch this space for more details about what should be a great day of all thing mtb.
