I bought this bike excactly a year ago, but then bought a duallie six months later which is better suited for my style of riding (and age!), so the XTC has hardly been used since, and the time has come to reluctantly part with it.
It's a light and responsive hardtail, has been very well looked after (only a few superficial scratches), and I've upgraded quite a few things from the standard spec.
Frame: Fluidformed SL butted 20.5" Black/red/white
Fork: RS Recon TK Gold Air 100mm with remote lever lockout
Brakes: Shimano M505 levers & M445 calipers. Rotors 180 front & 160 rear.
Cranks: Shimano SLX 22/36 & bash, M520 SPD pedals
FD: Shimano SLX double specific
RD: Shimano XT shadow
Shifters: Shimano Deore
Cassette: Brand new SRAM PG990 11-32, PC991 chain
Wheels: Giant S-XC2 26" with Kenda Nevegal front tyre and Maxxis Crossmark rear
Note: The bike is currently set up as 2x9 double & bash, but I can change it back to 3x9 if you wish

Cheeky bump for the 'friday afternoon, bored at work' crowd...
how come you downgraded the shifters?
Swapped them with the ones that came on my Trance, because I don't like having the indicator windows, and you can remove them from the SLX shifters but not from the Deore. Other than that, I can't say I notice any difference in the shifting action between the Deore and SLX.
But, if it makes the difference to whether you buy the bike or not, I'll swap them back... or are you just messing with me and not actually interested in buying it?
I was just wondering cause I have the same bike. Awesome bike by the way but I have fox talas on thy I am borrowing from my boss cause I broke my other forks and elixir 5 brakes cause I ride my bike hard, but I felt the swore shifter felt a little cheaper but not much difference at all
No problem, and in fact appreciate the free bump up to the top of the forum
Yeah, I've been really happy with the XTC, and I think Giant got the styling & colour scheme nailed with the red/white/black of the 2011 model! I've seen quite a few around at XC events, but I'm doing a different kind of riding now and a dual suspension suits me better - so I'm reluctantly selling it.
