JUNIOR MOUNTAIN BIKING CLINICS
Ideal for cyclists of all levels and children wanting to TRY Mountain Biking
Perth Mountain Bike Club (PMBC) would like to invite any 6 to 15 year old children to come and join our FUN clinics with a focus on basic skills with MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION. PMBC is offering a two week training course that will teach and prepare your child with all the skills they will need to get started in this exciting sport. The clinic will include a skills training ride followed by the opportunity to race at a round of the State XC Series.
The course will start with a skills clinic on the trails under the guidance of instructors from Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain Biking. This clinic is designed to improve their riding skills and techniques, while increasing their confidence to tackle new challenges. They will cover all the fundamentals of mountain biking; including body balance, bike control, braking and corning. Their clinics will provide small group tuition, set to age specific skills, all carried out in a safe and friendly environment.
The following weekend will give them a chance to put their new skills to the test with entry to either the under 9, under 13 or under 15 race. The course will be a specially designed kids course for the under 9 and 13’s, with the focus on participation NOT winning. The instructors from Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain Biking will be there to give a race day clinic, ensuring everyone is prepared to tackle the track.
