Thanks for putting on a great race! I did a little better than last year and thoroughly enjoyed the course.
. It would be helpful if the actual distance of the course with half laps could be put in the results so accurate speed values can be determined.
I notice that there doesn't seem to be the ability to specify half laps in the results and consequently the Average Speed values for all classes that included half a lap are a bit off. Not a big deal I know and you probably already know that, but just in case people think they are riding at a faster rate than they expected
Thanks again.
Firstly, thank you so much for a great event.
Did we race the standard circuit or a variation?
With the work done and it being years since I've ridden there I didn't really recognize it much. I'm sure I wasn't alone in loving the descents and jumps though. I wonder if anyone raced double trouble.
"I notice that there doesn't seem to be the ability to specify half laps in the results"
Correct.
I prefer to turn off the display of the pace field when producing results that contain laps of varying distances, as there is no way to specify individual per-lap distances.
And yes, Turner Hill has had a major facelift over the last 5 years or so - you wouldn't recognise it if you hadn't raced it in that time!
Yup, i raced double trouble, but only cause the lady with the little white dog that was taking photos was standing in the middle of the trail and confused me and sent me down the wrong bloody way, was at the first jump before i realised, so had no speed to do it all, had to roll slowly around everything. When i came out the other end - 2 guys i had passed earlier were right up my ass again... well annoyed!, great race though
Thanks to the PMBC volunteers for another great day. The race was fantastic and Turner Hill is the most fun race track.
Hopefully the leader of the elite Womens race is feeling ok after her 3/4 front sommersalt over the tabletop? The most intense crash I've ever seen in cross country.
After some 20 years did my first club race last weekend and I got to say what a great job was done by the organisers.
Keep up the great work.
