Sunday, 21 September, 2014 - 10:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Langford Park, Jarrahdale
Meeting Point:

South West Highway Directions - Langford Park is located on Nettleton Road in Jarrahdale. This is about 45 to 50 minutes drive south from the centre of Perth. You can either go down the South West Highway and turn left onto Nettleton Road just as you leave Byford (Peak petrol station on the corner) and proceed along Nettleton Road until you cross a set of disused train tracks. The entrance to Langford Park will be on your right about 400m after the train line. You will cross the train line again as you enter the park and you should follow the signs at the round about that take you to the lake car park. On race day a marshal will direct you from the round about.

Freeway directions - If you come down the freeway (best for those people from the northern or western suburbs and Fremantle people) exit the freeway at Mundijong Road and turn left towards the hills. Take Mundijong road all the way to the South West Highway and turn right. Take an immediate left into Jarrahdale road and continue up the hill for about 3kms. Nettleton Road will be on your left just after you enter the 60km speed zone. Proceeed for about 1km and Langford Park will be on the left. Drive into the park and you will get to a roundabout, follow the signs at the round about that take you to the lake car park. On race day a marshal will driect you from the round about.

This will not be a shredding anything ride but a moderate paced ride (that is an over 55's moderate). It will contain some single track a little technical stuff but no major climbs Smiling

Distance (approx): 37 km, 630 mtrs climbing, 11% grade max (short pinch), 2.9% avg grade, GF to Mt Helena Tavern return, ONLY 3 km of Heritage Rail Trail used. (For comparison the Dwelli 40 Google Earth data indicated approx 40.5km, 675 mtr, 14% max, 2.9%avg.)

Wanted: 29er wheelset

Price:
200.00

I have recently ruined my rear wheel on my bike. I'm wondering if anybody has a new or used set of 29er wheels they want to get rid of? Front needs to be QR15 (fox - shouldn't matter though) and the rear is standard Shimano 10 speed cassette configuration. Chasing 6 bolt set up for disc rotors, not centrelock.Tubeless rims would be ideal if available. I don't need a cassette, rotors or tyres.

If you have anything that might be of interest feel free to send me a message.

Mike.
