Lift needed home Sunday: Cape to Cape

Hi Chaps and Chapettes,

I'm wondering if anyone has a spare seat heading home from the Cape to Cape on Sunday?
No bike space required, just bum space.

Common meeting place is the carpark across from the Pub as you enter town from the NorthWest, on the left just after you cross the train tracks. There are public toilets a few 100 metres further along that road.

ROCK AND ROLL MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAINING RIDE

Join us on a long training ride perfect for the upcoming cape to cape, anaconda adventure race or the dusk to dawn 12 hour races. These rides are fully supported, suitable for all skill and fitness levels. We will have guides for both a fast and moderate paced groups. You must however be able to ride approx 40km or for about 3-4 hours. The ride will have both open sections and some technical singletrack, with a few good hills to get the heart rate up.
A great way to tackle some longer rides in a safe and friendly environment.

I've had a quick hack at turning the blurry and pixelated maps that C2C have published into track files for my GPS. These are not official, may not be correct, but are just my interpretation of what I've seen from the web site. Here are the first two as .gpx files:

The 2011 Cape to Cape MTB will be held from Thursday October 20 to Sunday October 23.

Please note that this event is not held on the Cape to Cape Walk Trail. It is run on a unique course designed across a variety of roads, tracks and trails that wind from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste.

The 2011 course map is not yet available, but register for our newsletter for updates as information is released. More information will be added to this page as it becomes available.
