Midvale Speed Dome
I'm going to run some races at the Midvale Speed Dome on a saturday morning.
Entry is $15 and you will need a racing license of some kind, Cycling Australia (Road), MTBA or BMXA.
There will be no day licenses.
There will be 4 grades, A & B grade for cyclocross bikes (narrower than 35mm tyres), and 2 Open grades for MTB's. The course will be able to be ridden on a road bike.
The first Race is on the 25th of May, and the second is a week later on the 1st of June. This will lead nicely into the first round of the national series in Adelaide on the 8th and 9th of June.

Heading South along Del Park Road:
Turn right onto Scarp Rd, which is unsealed. This about 40 metres past a blue Mundabiddi signpost, which you will see on the left hand side.
A few kms down Scarp Rd, (after passing two 90 degree left-hand side roads by the pine plantation) take the left fork and about 300 metres down you will again turn left and find yourself at the trail head for Turner Hill mountain bike tracks.
Turner Hill
One of the most favourite courses of the XC race series is on again this year.

Thanks to Avanti Plus in Cannington the Perth Mountain Bike Club are proud to present Round 3 of the XC series.
Information as follows;
Enter off "Freemans Road" (not Bandicoots road).
REMEMBER THERE IS NO PARKING ON FREEMANS ROAD, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
The race is NOT based out of the Marrinup camp ground as it previously has been.
Race parking is on the old Golf course.
Race village, registration and start/finish are all based off the golf course.
2 toilets will be on site on the golf course so you won't have to go back to the camp grounds.
State XC Round 2 - Collie

From Perth follow signs to Collie. Once in town turn Left (heading North) at Princep St. Turn left at Jones St. Turn right onto Harris River Rd. Travel 4.4km North, you will find Harris River Estate to your right. Drive in the main gates.

Getting There:
Pemberton Mountain Bike Park is on the NW edge of the town on Swimming Pool Rd. Follow the signs to the swimming pool from the centre of town to get there.
Pembeton is 4 hours south of Perth.

There are a total of 5 races in the series including the state champs. All 5 rounds count towards points for the series.

PMBC & Rock 'n' Roll Mountain Biking Presents Giant Bicycles XC Club Race 1

South West Highway Directions - Langford Park is located on Nettleton Road in Jarrahdale. This is about 45 to 50 minutes drive south from the centre of Perth. You can either go down the South West Highway and turn left onto Nettleton Road just as you leave Byford (Peak petrol station on the corner) and proceed along Nettleton Road until you cross a set of disused train tracks. The entrance to Langford Park will be on your right about 400m after the train line. You will cross the train line again as you enter the park and you should follow the signs at the round about that take you to the lake car park. On race day a marshal will direct you from the round about.
Freeway directions - If you come down the freeway (best for those people from the northern or western suburbs and Fremantle people) exit the freeway at Mundijong Road and turn left towards the hills. Take Mundijong road all the way to the South West Highway and turn right. Take an immediate left into Jarrahdale road and continue up the hill for about 3kms. Nettleton Road will be on your left just after you enter the 60km speed zone. Proceeed for about 1km and Langford Park will be on the left. Drive into the park and you will get to a roundabout, follow the signs at the round about that take you to the lake car park. On race day a marshal will driect you from the round about.
